GATH and TWX Proxy - A How To
--------------------------------------

Goals
------
In this document you will learn how to use GATH and TWX Proxy on the same computer. Although GATH can function just fine without TWX, the
wealth of free scripts would not otherwise be available.

Introduction
-------------
TW 2002 is a great game. With the explosion of high quality scripts available many novice players are being left in the dust. What should you do to play your favorite game and have a fighting chance? GATH and TWX Proxy!

Solution
---------
1.
Start by downloading GATH from http://goffconcepts.com. Then download TWX Proxy from http://www.twxproxy.com. This document was written testing the 2.02 version.

2.
Run the GATH setup.exe file. After successful installation you should see "GATH" under the Windows Program Menu.

3.
Now unzip TWX as it does not have an installer. The directory you choose does not matter but in this example we will use C:\TWX. When you are finished proceed to the next step.

4.
Configuring TWX
TWX functions as a "go between" sitting in the middle of GATH and TW 2002. Thus the actual game server address will be stored using TWX. Click on "TWXProxy.exe". Click on all the "OK" prompts until you see the "Setup" screen with the tabs. If you don't see this as described you may have an icon in your system tray. If so right click on the TWX
icon and choose "Setup". Click "Add" For the "name" field type a friendly name. For "server address" enter the name of your favorite TW Game server. For "port" enter the port number for your server which is typically 23. When you are finished with any additional settings click "OK" and then the second "OK" at the very bottom. TWX should now be running on your computer.

5.
Start GATH from the program menu. Click "File" then choose "Connect". Now we need to add a TW Game server only this time the location will be to point to the local TWX program. Click "Add". Now enter a friendly name like "TWX Proxy". For the server you must enter "127.0.0.1" with the port being "23" unless you have changed them. Now click "Save".

6.
Click "Connect" on the GATH connection box. If all is well you will see the following:

Active connection detected from: 127.0.0.1

TWX Proxy Server v2.02 (Official Release Version)

There are currently 1 active telnet connections No server connections detected Press $ to activate terminal menu

7.
Now you simply enter $ to start using TWX. You will probably want to now type "C" from the "Main>" prompt to connect to the game server
you specified earlier. At any type you can press "$" and you will be inside of TWX.

8.
Using a TWX Script.
Right Click on the TWX icon and choose "Load Script"

Conclusion
------------
That is all there is to it. GATH the perfect TW Helper with all the scripts made available with TWX Proxy!
